Canadian International Trade Tribunal Issues Orders: Copper Pipe Fittings from the United States, Korea and China

(firmenpresse) - OTTAWA, ONTARIO -- (Marketwire) -- 02/17/12 -- The Canadian International Trade Tribunal today issued orders following the expiry review of its findings made on February 19, 2007, in Inquiry No. NQ-2006-002, concerning the dumping of certain copper pipe fittings from the United States, Korea and China and the subsidizing of certain copper pipe fittings from China.
The Canadian International Trade Tribunal continued its finding in respect of certain copper pipe fittings from Korea and China as well as its finding in respect of certain copper pipe fittings from the United States.
The Tribunal is an independent quasi-judicial body that reports to Parliament through the Minister of Finance. It hears cases on dumped and subsidized imports, safeguard complaints, complaints about federal government procurement and appeals of customs and excise tax rulings. When requested by the federal government, the Tribunal also provides advice on other economic, trade and tariff matters.
