Continental Proposes Dividend of?1.50
On April 27, Annual Shareholders' Meeting to vote on dividend payment for fiscal 2011
(PresseBox) - For fiscal 2011, the international automotive supplier Continental plans to distribute a dividend in the amount of ?1.50. In relation to the net income attributable to the shareholders of the parent the payout ratio is at about 24 percent. The Executive Board has resolved a proposal to this effect. The Audit Committee has recommended to the Supervisory Board also to propose a dividend payment of ?1.50 per share. On March 13, the company's Supervisory Board will deliberate on approval of the annual and consolidated financial statements for fiscal 2011 and on the dividend proposal to be submitted to the Annual Shareholders' Meeting, which takes place on April 27, 2012. On March 1, 2012, Continental will present the preliminary key figures for fiscal 2011.
"After a hiatus of three years, Continental is resuming payment of dividends. As in the past, this allows shareholders to partake of the company's success. We will submit this proposal because our operating strength makes possible not only a dividend payment but also allows us to further reduce our net indebtedness in the current year, enabling us to continue the steep rise in our investment activity," said Continental Executive Board Chairman Dr. Elmar Degenhart in Hanover on Monday.
