IIA Solicits Formal Feedback Regarding Internal Audit Profession

(firmenpresse) - ALTAMONGE SPRINGS, FL -- (Marketwire) -- 02/22/12 -- The Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) is soliciting feedback for two critical initiatives regarding the internal audit profession.
The International Internal Audit Standards Board (IIASB) of The IIA recently conducted a comprehensive review of the International Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing (Standards) and is proposing select revisions. The proposed changes reflect consideration of initial input from internal auditors and stakeholders, as well as global surveys and other research focused on the Standards.
The IIA is now soliciting input from the global internal audit community. Practitioners can respond by reviewing the changes and taking an online survey (available in English, French, German, Italian, Korean, Montenegrin, Polish, Portuguese, Romanian, and Spanish). Access to the exposure instructions and online survey are at: .
In a separate but complementary initiative, The IIA's Audit Executive Center is gathering intelligence on how the current environment continues to impact audit plans, priorities, and activities for 2012. This information will help guide discussions at upcoming IIA events and will be incorporated into a final report.
The IIA invites chief audit executives and internal audit directors to participate in this survey and provide feedback on how the existing compliance, regulatory, and economic environment is impacting audit efforts in the coming months. The survey closes Wednesday, Feb. 29. To access the survey, visit:
