(Thomson Reuters ONE) - 29/01/10 Lisungwe plc ("Lisungwe" or the "Company") Trading Statement to 31st December 2009Chairman's statementAs stated in the annual report for the year to 31 March 2009 and repeated in thehalf year report to 30 September 2009, Lisungwe faces severe challenges.It is the belief of the Board that at Malingunde Hill we have a pyrite depositof value to Malawi and to our Shareholders. Unfortunately, the Board has so farbeen unable to attract any further investment interest. Therefore, the Grouphas been unable to advance the completion of a JORC resource statement andcontinues to survive on a limited 'care and maintenance' basis.This is extremely disheartening and frustrating for the Malawi based team whounderstand the potential benefit to their country of the sulphuric acidproduction project we plan.
