Charitable "AMA Houston Gives Back" Program Helps Non-Profits Market More Effectively
Nominations Extended Through Mid-March
(firmenpresse) - HOUSTON, TX -- (Marketwire) -- 03/06/12 -- The Houston Chapter of the , the area's leading marketing organization, is accepting nominations for its charitable "" program through March 16, 2012. AMA Houston Gives Back provides financial support to qualified area non-profits needing assistance with marketing-related activities. Established in 2009, the program is continuing to help organizations in the Houston area to propel their charitable missions.
"The charitable mission of is to help non-profits market more effectively," said Stacey Eddington, AMA Houston president. "With grants of up to $2500, AMA Houston Gives Back provides the marketing resources organizations need to better elevate their causes and meet specific goals, like growing donor bases and volunteer support."
The program is funded in part through the donations of companies and individuals who want to make a difference in the Houston community. , a Houston non-profit focused on bettering the lives of elementary aged girls through running and fitness, received a grant in 2010. With the right marketing tools in hand, the organization was able to accelerate its success by doubling participation within the first six months, experiencing incredible growth for its program.
"New this year to AMA's charitable giving, AMA Houston has created the to honor the memory of one of our beloved members, Richard Laurence Baron," said Eddington. "He was truly an outstanding individual and an important figure in the Houston marketing community, and we are proud to establish this grant in his name. Donations to the RLB Gives Back Grant will be a one-time additional sum given to a non-profit."
Since the program's inception, AMA Houston Gives Back has awarded grants to more than 10 diverse non-profits in need of funds to help underwrite marketing-related efforts.
