KONE and ProRail sign ten-year partnership contract for new elevators and maintenance in the Netherlands

The contract definesKONE as one of two preferred suppliers for the installation of 175 newelevators. The maintenance period has been defined for 25 years.ProRail is responsible for the Netherlands' national railway network. It isresponsible for construction, maintenance, management and security of thenetwork. Over 3,200 employees ensure that 1,200,000 travelers and 100,000barrels of goods get to their destination on time everyday."In the next ten years, ProRail is rolling out its Accessibility ImplementationPlan in order to improve the accessibility of our stations and the installationof elevators is a direct part of this plan," says Patrick Buck, ProjectsDirector for ProRail.
