(firmenpresse) - YORK, PA -- (Marketwire) -- 03/19/12 -- StageofLife.com, an providing a free blog for teachers and students, discovered that teens look to their parents as the example when it comes to defining love. The website is on track to see over 200,000 teen visitors in 2012 and recently asked 652 high school students across the US, "What is your definition of love?" From this writing prompt and its corresponding survey, found...

70% of teens believe in true love

19% of teens are hesitant about marriage due to concerns over divorce

41% of teens feel that their parents set a bad example for love

Most teens have parents who say "I love you," but 17% of teens say their parents do not

From the hundreds of essays submitted, several themes emerged:

Most teens can't wait to fall in love. Love is magic, love is warmth, and love makes you feel better no matter what.

On the other hand, love isn't as easy and carefree as some people think; love requires listening, friendship, and compromise.

Some teens felt jilted by love; bad break-ups, rejection, and heart break. This inspired these teens to say that love doesn't exist, or that not everyone finds love.

Love comes in all forms -- your family, your friends, your partner, your passion, etc. Teens agreed that it doesn't matter who or what you love as long as love makes you better.

One teen writing finalist wrote, "Love is a story that autonomously takes its own course of action. In this respect, love is animated and therefore, very real." The education report on this , the love writing prompt, and teen survey results are available at .

In preparation for April's National Poetry Writing Month, StageofLife.com asks teens and college students to in dedication to someone who matters in their life.
