Spidvid and Indie Source Magazine Sign Agreement to Build Independent Film Resources
(firmenpresse) - TORONTO -- (Marketwire) -- 03/21/12 -- Social video collaborative firm "Spidvid" has partnered with independent filmmaker magazine "Indie Source" to create an independent marketing initiative that will provide resources for independent filmmakers.
Spidvid has created a state of the art video platform that allows filmmakers globally to team and work on projects collaboratively. "We have built our collaborative web-based software from the ground up, specifically for the next generation of digital filmmakers in mind," said Jeremy Campbell, Founder and President of Spidvid. Indie Source Magazine is the fastest growing and only free digital magazine in the industry. The magazine, created by filmmakers Christopher D. Parker of Parker Entertainment Group and Denise Smith of Stand By Entertainment, has seen explosive growth in only two issues. "We have grown to a readership of 15,000 in just under three issues. I would say that's remarkable," says Denise Smith, Managing Editor.
Both companies are happy to bring more light to a dim indie filmmaking landscape. Christopher echoes that sentiment, "Indie world is reeling right now. A true lack of funding has stopped the only area of Hollywood that is truly creative, and we are creating free resources, so that the money filmmakers do have can be spent on putting it on the screen." Both companies look forward to providing filmmakers additional support in the coming months.
