Donations to Be Based on Performance of PGA TOUR Professional Ryan Moore
(firmenpresse) - LAS VEGAS, NV -- (Marketwire) -- 03/21/12 -- Shift4 Corporation, the world's largest independent payment gateway, is excited to invite public participation in Birdies4Shriners, their fundraising campaign that combines giving and golf to benefit Shriners Hospitals for Children.
"We've been involved with the Justin Timberlake Shriners Hospitals for Children Open for the past few years and have been looking for a way to increase our support," said Shift4 CEO Dave Oder. "With our endorsement of Ryan Moore last year, we thought we could connect the two -- and help a great organization in the process."
At last year's tournament, Shift4 announced a sponsorship of PGA TOUR professional Ryan Moore, a fellow Las Vegan who is in his sixth year on the TOUR.
While Moore is not affiliated directly with the Shriners organization, his relationship with Shift4 proved a perfect vehicle for the Birdies4Shriners campaign. From the start of the season until the final day of this year's JT Shriners event (October 7), Shift4 will track Moore's play and will make a financial contribution to Shriners for every shot he makes under par: $100 for each birdie, $500 for each eagle, and $1,000 for each ace.
As of today, Shift4 is opening this contribution opportunity to the general public. Participants can decide how much they'd like to donate for each birdie, eagle, or ace, and (if desired) set a maximum contribution for the season. (Shift4 has been making these donations since the beginning of this year's golf season, but those who sign up in the coming days will only donate based on Moore's performance in his remaining tournaments.)
"Shift4 has been the title sponsor of our Public Safety Appreciation Station for the past couple of years, and I am tremendously grateful to them (and the Oder family) for putting this together and again showing how much heart they have," said Adam Sperling, the JT Shriners Open Tournament Director.

Birdies4Shriners donations will be made directly to the Shriners organization with Shift4 providing the secure payment processing services for each donation free of charge.
