EVRY is looking to recruit 300 talented IT people in Norway and Sweden
(Thomson Reuters ONE) -
(Oslo, 26 March 2012) Norway's largest IT Company EVRY (formerly EDB ErgoGroup)
has launched an extensive recruitment drive, and aims to recruit 300 new
employees in Norway and Sweden over the next few weeks. "We know there are some
talented and creative people in Norway with strong IT expertise who do not work
for us presently. We would like to get these people on board to join our journey
towards becoming the leading Nordic IT company over the course of 2015", says
Terje Mjøs, CEO of EVRY.
This week sees EVRY launch an extensive recruitment drive to find new people for
its activities throughout Norway, and the company is using some new tools in
addition to the traditional recruitment methods. In parallel with this program,
the company is carrying out a similar recruitment drive in Sweden. In total,
EVRY is looking to recruit more than 300 new employees, with around 150 in each
country.
"With the transition from EDB ErgoGroup to EVRY we have created a new and
forward-looking company. EVRY intends to be best at knowing its customers, every
single day. We intend to grow our market position. We will focus on continuous
improvement every day, and each and every one of us will have a critical
approach to how we invest our time and financial resources. All this means that
we must also be best at recruiting. We want every one of EVRY's customers to be
confident that our people are the brightest and provide the best advice",
explains Terje Mjøs.
EVRY targets train commuters in Vestfold and the Mjøs region, and launches an
app for recruitment in Trondheim
EVRY is carrying out a major recruitment initiative this week at railway
stations in Vestfold, targeting people who commute to work outside the county.
The objective is to recruit new people for EVRY's operations in Vestfold by
pointing out how IT specialists can find an attractive workplace without having
to sit on a commuter train for several hours every day. EVRY has operations in
both Tønsberg and Sandefjord that are looking for talented people. Commuters
will be served breakfast and given a package of information on EVRY. The program
will move to railway stations in the Mjøs region the following week.
In Trondheim, EVRY is working with the student union to launch a big competition
for IT students, with prizes including summer jobs at EVRY. The competition is
delivered as an app that will be available for download. Students will be
encouraged to take part in a competition to develop the best and most innovative
new app for a specified theme within a 48-hour deadline. The theme for the new
app will be kept secret until the competition is launched. EVRY is one of the
largest employers in mid-Norway, with several hundred employees in Trondheim,
and it needs to recruit new employees, not least to help deal with the growth in
the number of assignments on which it is currently working.
"This competition will give students an exciting technical challenge with a
demanding timetable, as well as the fun of competing against each other. It
gives us the chance to evaluate what candidates have to offer in a completely
new and much more relevant way that relying on traditional recruitment
interviews", explains Terje Mjøs.

EVRY's 10,000 employees involved in the largest change of corporate profile in
Norway in 2012
Since Saturday 17 March, EVRY and its employees have carried out a complete
change of corporate profile, visual identity and market presence. Every sign on
all the company's buildings at its locations in 21 Norwegian towns and cities
has been replaced, and the old company logo has been removed from a whole range
of products, published material and stationery to make way for the new brand.
The launch of EVRY is the largest brand launch carried out in Norway in 2012.
The change of name is also the first time that a major merger in Norway has
resulted in a completely new name. In other mergers, the new name has either
been based on a combination of the old names or the merged company has continued
with one of the existing names.
These busy days for the implementation of the new EVRY brand follow over 12
months of hard work to build and anchor a corporate culture and values for all
of EVRY's 10,000 employees. Every employee has been involved in a comprehensive
program to implement the company's new values, mission and vision as the basis
for its future corporate culture. This process has involved around 700 meetings
with employees to develop the corporate culture and values. EVRY's new
foundation for its values has been built upon the results of the thoughts, views
and ideas of the company's employees.
