Cyan Adds Accomplished Sales Executive John Halliwell
Former Microsoft and Sun Microsystems Executive Leads Cyan's Worldwide Field Operations
(firmenpresse) - PETALUMA, CA -- (Marketwire) -- 03/26/12 -- today announced the addition of John Halliwell as vice president of worldwide field operations. Bringing over 20 years of experience with both public and private companies, John will manage Cyan's sales team to accelerate Cyan's global expansion.

John's diverse background includes experience in international operations, sales strategy development and management, business development, and mergers and acquisitions. He brings experience leading sales efforts in the EMEA, APAC and Americas regions. Prior to joining Cyan, John was integral in the growth of Enterprise business at Microsoft.

Most recently, John was general manager, northwest enterprise and partner business for Microsoft. John was responsible for the company's sales, service, and marketing, and was essential in Microsoft's growth in business during his tenure.
Prior to Microsoft, John served as vice president of global accounts and business development at Avaya. Before that, he held the positions of vice president of media and communications for Salesforce.com, and development of a new go-to-market strategy for its launch of software platform as a service. John held various leadership roles with Sun Microsystems, Inc., and was responsible for Sun Grid, Sun's Cloud Computing startup venture. In addition, John has held a variety of leadership roles at 3Com Australia, New Zealand & Pacific, Telecom New Zealand and Apple, New Zealand.
