Local Golf Enthusiasts Aim to Make Hitting the Links Organized Fun!
(firmenpresse) - VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA -- (Marketwire) -- 03/26/12 -- Stephen Leong and Eddie Lee admittedly are not very good at golf, but they really like the game and have been playing since high school. Recognizing an opportunity to get recreational golfers together, they created the Vancouver Golf League.
"Other sports have rec leagues and we thought, why not golf?" says Leong.
Their goal is to remove the intimidation factor and group players together according to skill level. They even offer a beginners package that includes events and lessons. Currently the league puts together 6 events per season and the cost of joining includes green fees and comes with additional savings at select golf stores.
