Essanelle Hair Group presents final earnings figures 2011
Sales on previous year's level at EUR 127.2 million
EBT increased by 26.2% from EUR 5.1 million to EUR 6.4 million
Dividend recommendation on previous year's level of EUR 0.50
Dusseldorf, 29 March 2012 - Essanelle Hair Group AG generated sales
revenues of EUR 127.2 million in the past fiscal year 2011, and thereby
ranges precisely on previous year's level. Regarding this, it has to be
taken into consideration that the 30 TOP TEN salons, which had been sold by
1 October 2011, still contributed about EUR 1.5 million in sales revenue in
the fourth quarter of the previous year. Overall the company was able to
grow in the existing concepts and thereby lived up to the projections made
at the end of the third quarter.
Achim Mansen, Chairman of the Management Board: 'We are satisfied with the
sales performance over the course of the financial year, especially because
we were able to compensate for the loss of the TOP TEN sales revenue. In
the coming years, we will be able to focus fully on the expansion of our
existing concepts essanelle Ihr Friseur, Super Cut and HairExpress as well
as the Beauty Hair Shops.'
The individual concepts performed as follows: The salon concept
HairExpress, which is developed for price-sensitive customers, generated
EUR 38.6 million in the past financial year after EUR 35.7 million and
therefore showed growth of 8.2%. At EUR 21.6 million compared to previous
year's level of EUR 21.2 million, the trendy concept Super Cut recorded an
increase of 1.6%. The concept essanelle Ihr Friseur generated EUR 56.6
million after EUR 58.4 million (-3.1%). The concept TOP TEN, which has now
been sold, still ranged at EUR 3.6 million in 2011 after EUR 5.1 million in
the previous year. The Beauty Hair Shops, which specialise exclusively in
the sale of hairdressing salon products, generated sales of EUR 6.9 million
after EUR 6.8 million and therefore increased by 0.9%.
EBT improved significantly, dividend of EUR 0.50
The earnings performance indicators developed excellently in the past
financial year. The EBITDA (Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation
and amortisation) increased by 9.4% from EUR 10.8 million to EUR 11.8
million. The EBT improved even more significantly by 26.2% from EUR 5.1
million to EUR 6.4 million. Thus, the earnings performance indicators range
above our own projections. The consolidated net profit increased from EUR
3.4 million to EUR 3.8 million (+12.3%), the earnings per share increased
correspondingly to EUR 0.84 after EUR 0.75 in the previous year. Based on
this, the Management Board and the Supervisory Board will recommend a
dividend on the previous year's level of EUR 0.50 at the Annual General
Meeting.
Achim Mansen: 'In 2011, we focused especially on improving our earnings
situation, implemented this successfully and achieved a result which ranges
above our own expectations. With regard to this strong result and the sale
of the TOP TEN salons, which still contributed EUR 3.6 million to the sales
revenues of 2011, we expect slightly decreased key figures for the current
fiscal year. Once again it is our objective to achieve a significant part
of the earnings boost seen in 2011 in the current fiscal year.' In concrete
terms, the Management Board expects sales revenues to be 1-2% below the
previous year as well as a corresponding EBT within a scope of EUR 5.5-6.0
million for the year 2012.
