Team FXPRIMUS Aylezo Takes Third Place at Round 1 of the Malaysian Super Series

Team Aylezo proved once again to be a winning team when the squad took the chequered flag in third place at Round 1 of the Malaysian Super Series (MSS), held as a support race to the Malaysian Formula 1 Grand Prix.
The MSS is run in a unique format that requires each team to race in two sprint races of ten laps each. The race series has also been a hotly contested event since 2002 and reaches out to talents from across the region with teams racing in four different categories in cars as diverse as Ferrari's and Lamborghini's to Proton's and Honda's, and even has a category for motorbikes.
The Malaysian Super Series is the second race that and Aylezo have raced in, the first being the inaugural Gulf 12 Hours race in Abu Dhabi where the team took a much deserved second place after an incident packed race.
Speaking about the teams partnership with , Zen Low, owner of Aylezo Motorsport said, "I am thankful to for once again teaming up with Aylezo Motorsport to race in the Malaysian Super Series. I believe this is a good combination as both companies are driven by results and as we have seen before in our previous race, our pairing produces excellent results."
Zen Low is also the driver of the Lotus 2-Eleven that the Team raced at the Sepang International Circuit this past weekend, "It was a very exciting race for us. We took third place in both races but it was a difficult battle to that position as we had problems with our gearbox."
An issue with the gearbox of the Lotus meant that the Team had to take it easy and could not fully extract the ability of the car in race conditions. However, despite the gearbox acting up, the Team still qualified in fourth place.
"I was losing about 12 seconds a lap to what the Lotus 2-Eleven is normally capable of doing. I had to brake earlier than what I normally had to, the car was accelerating a lot slower and what makes it worse is that the Sepang International Circuit is a fast flowing circuit, so fourth gear is important, but without it I was forced to jump to fifth gear and that slowed the car down dramatically."
"Towards the end of Race 2 I even lost fifth and sixth gear but thankfully I had opened up a considerable gap to the car behind, so I could pretty much cruise to the chequered flag with no real threat of losing my position."
Terry Thompson, President of , was understandably delighted, "We have done it yet again, Team Aylezo has not failed to take a step on the podium for the past three race events we have contested in, and that is great news for us. I understand it was not an easy race but we had a good driver and a car that held up thanks to great effort from the team. It definitely was a good position for us."
Team Aylezo now looks forward to Round 2 of the Malaysian Super Series which will take place in May at the Sepang International Circuit.
