Warm Weather Brings Increase in Quotes for Swinton Bikes

The retailer has taken a huge number of calls since last weekend when the temperatures soared across the country as bikers head out for what will be for many, the first ride of the season.
Swinton Bikes is reminding motorcyclists to remain vigilant on the roads especially those who may be taking their bike out for the very first time and those who haven't rode since last autumn. Over the Easter weekend Swinton Bikes is estimating that over half a million bikers will take to the roads leading to an increase in motorcycling accidents.
Swinton is offering some useful tips to motorcyclists riding for the first time this year and in the warm weather
-- Don't be tempted to shed your protective layers in the warm weather
-- Never ever ride without a helmet
-- Make yourself as visible as possible to other road users by wearing coloured protective gear and reflective strips
-- Check your policy before your first ride-out to ensure you are adequately covered
Anthony Aronin, Head of Swinton Bikes said, "Compared with the volume of calls we took for the same period in 2011 we've seen a significant increase in calls which can be attributed to the unseasonably warm weather we have been experiencing across the UK which is perfect for motorcycling. However, we must stress that it is vital for motorcyclists to remain vigilant on the road."
