- Increase of EUR 9 million in the order volume for a Multi-Feedstock
BioDiesel plant in Hong Kong
- Biggest Multi-Feedstock plant in the world that mainly processes grease
trap waste

(Grambach, 02.04.2012) BDI - BioEnergy International AG, the prominent
technology supplier and specialised plant manufacturer in the Waste to
Energy field, has been commissioned to extend an order it received for a
Multi-Feedstock BioDiesel plant in Hong Kong. Once it has been completed,
the plant is to produce 100,000 tonnes of BioDiesel per year from grease
trap waste as the main raw material.

The customer - ASB Biodiesel (Hong Kong Ltd.) - already chose BDI as its
supplier some time ago. Internal corporate restructuring by the customer
has delayed the project for a lengthy period of time. BDI has succeeded in
increasing the order by EUR 9 million now that the project is being tackled
again. BDI is entering the Asian market with this project, which is a
significant milestone in implementation of the company's strategy.

The Multi-Feedstock BioDiesel plant is now likely to start operation in
2013. The main raw material that will be processed is grease trap waste.
Grease traps are used in large canteens, restaurants and supermarkets, for
example. They separate grease and oils from waste water and make sure that
waste water containing grease does not reach the sewage system unfiltered.
Grease often accounts for only 3% to 5% of the contents here, however. The
plant in Hong Kong will be able to process used cooking oil and animal fat
as raw materials too. It will be the first plant of this size in the world

that operates almost exclusively on the basis of grease trap waste. Since
it goes without saying that the contamination level of this raw material is
high, it is extremely difficult to process it into high-quality BioDiesel.
With BDI's technology, it is possible to produce BioDiesel of the highest
quality - that satisfies the strictest quality standards in the world -
from this raw material in an environmentally sound process that minimises
resource input.

'With this plant, our customer is solving the waste disposal problem faced
by many small operations that collect grease trap waste and used cooking
oils. He is also helping to make sure that these waste substances are no
longer disposed of in uncontrolled fashion in the South China Sea. We are
delighted that the response to our products and services from all over the
world is so positive in the meantime. The commission is a very good
reference for us', says Edgar Ahn, Chief Sales Officer at BDI.
