La Barchetta – the challenge for real pilots!

August is not only the hottest time of the year, but also fans and drivers of historic automobiles are exposed to increasing temperatures and a high level of adrenalin.

(firmenpresse) - Nuremberg – Real pilots are in demand for the first ever La Barchetta from August 26 to August 29, 2010. You can already hear the soft hum of the engines: Pre and early after-war racing and sports cars will start off on the closed track. Attention please: starting positions are limited.

From pilots – for pilots
Metallic sounds of starting motors, racing engines are starting…. The spectacular oldtimer rallye “La Barchetta” is paying tribute to the racing cars of the pre-war and early after-war years. We are offering an exquisite starting field including an unique choice of purebred, open racing sports cars.
Manager Egon Tauscher is looking forward excitedly to the event: “racy driving is clearly in the focus of this rallye. Thus a pure historic rallye atmosphere. On top of this, participants can look forward to sleeping in exquisite hotels, enjoying culinary delights and experiencing a nice get-together with vintage car friends and like-minded people from all over Europe.”

Every kilometer is an unique experience
The 5 star Hotel Bayerischer Hof in Lindau is the perfect setting for the start of this event. The 3 day course, including 5 stages, will lead you from Lake Constance through the picturesque Allgäu and the fascinating world of the swiss, Liechtenstein and Austrian mountains. On the last day you will drive through the Bregenzer forest back to the Lake Constance: We will bring “La Barchetta 2010” to a stylish end on the castle of Montfort in Langenargen, which is situated idyllically on a small peninsula in Lake Constance.

Not even flying can top that
Therefore the tracks and historic destinations are in perfect harmony with the selected starting field. “La Barchetta” is a rallye testing uniformity and reliability including sportive special stages, transit controls and time trials. Egon Tauscher and the Moviano-Team agree on it: “We want to lead our cars to what they were built for: the appropriate keeping on the streets and in the turns.” Motto: “Feel your heartbeat in the turn!”
