Kokanee Appoints New Director

(firmenpresse) - VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA -- (Marketwire) -- 04/03/12 -- Kokanee Minerals Inc. ("Kokanee") (TSX VENTURE: KOK) announces that Mr. Souhail Abi-Farrage has resigned as a director of Kokanee. Mr. David Hughes has been appointed to Kokanee's Board to fill the casual vacancy created by Mr. Souhail Abi-Farrage's resignation. Kokanee thanks Mr. Farrage for his contributions and wishes him well in his future endeavours.

Mr. Hughes is President of Hughes Consulting and International Consulting Alliance. For the past 20 years he has consulted with a broad range of companies and all levels of government. His extensive international experience includes work in Asia, Europe, the Middle East and throughout North America. Prior to consulting he held senior management positions in mining with Luscar Limited, in transportation with Ward Air and in retail with Henry Birks & Sons. Mr. Hughes is currently the CEO of Torch River Agricultural Corporation which farms 12,000 acres in Saskatchewan. Mr. Hughes is also President of Airstar Aviation Ltd and CFO and a director of Opal Energy Corp.
