Lime Ricki Swimwear Offering More Than Just Not-So-Naked Fashions
Proceeds From Every Suit to Benefit One of Two Charities
(firmenpresse) - SALT LAKE CITY, UT -- (Marketwire) -- 04/11/12 -- Since 2006, Utah-based swimwear retailer, Lime Ricki, has had a unique offering of not-so-naked swimwear that does not compromise fashion for comfort and coverage. Now, it has an additional offering for its customers: a chance to give back with every purchase.
Lime Ricki's new Giving Back program redirects 10 percent of the proceeds from every pink suit it sells to The Breast Cancer Research Foundation. For all other suits, Lime Ricki is contributing 10 percent of the proceeds to charity: water, a non-profit organization bringing clean and safe drinking water to people in developing nations.
"Part of the motivation to contribute to causes is the recognition of our responsibility as a business to give back to the community -- whether that is our local community or the global community," said Nicole Bruderer, one of three sisters who own Lime Ricki. "The other reason is that philanthropy feels so good. In fact, it's that good feeling that inspires us to share the giving experience with our customers through their purchases."
The choice of charities is poignant and personal. The three sisters are all avid supporters of breast cancer research having witnessed Bruderer survive the disease three times now.
