BrightScope Lists the Top 25 Houston Area-Based Companies With the Best 401k Plans
Saudi Arabian Oil Company Makes First Appearance on the List as No. 1, While Other Oil Companies Like BP Corporation North America Inc., Shell Oil Company and Exxon Mobile Corporation Rank Among the Top 10

This year BrightScope has extended the list to include the top 25 companies.
BrightScope obtains an increasing amount of its data directly from plan sponsors and record keepers, and augments these primary sources with data from publicly available sources such as the Department of Labor and the Securities and Exchange Commission. By analyzing and interpreting this data, BrightScope provides unprecedented transparency into the 401k industry.

Saudi Arabian Oil Company makes its first appearance on the list as No. 1, replacing the previously ranked No. 1, Exxon Mobile Corporation, which dropped to No. 5
Decreases in ranking: Dynegy Inc. drops from No. 2 to No. 15; Bake Botts, LLP falls 21 places from No. 3 to No. 24; CITGO Petroleum Corporation slips 13 spots from No. 4. to No. 17; Bracewell & Giuliani, LLP slips 3 spots from No. 9 to No. 12
Increases in ranking: Diamond OffShore Drilling, Inc. moves up from No. 8 to No. 4; Continental Airlines, Inc. rises one rank from No. 10 to No. 9
No Shows: Reliant Energy, Inc. and Huntsman International LLC, which appeared on the previous list, did not make it into this year's rankings
Anadarko Petroleum Corporation maintained its status as No. 6.
