Standard Graphite Exploration Update in Ontario & Quebec
(firmenpresse) - VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA -- (Marketwire) -- 04/18/12 -- Standard Graphite Corp. (TSX VENTURE: SGH) (the "Company"), is pleased to report an update on its 2012 exploration activities.
Standard Graphite has now finished the airborne EM survey in Quebec, which completes the entire 2012 EM program of 3310 line kilometres. Chris Bogart, President and CEO of Standard Graphite, comments: "The success of the EM program has been better than anticipated. The ability of EM to locate conductors on our Little-Bryan, Black Donald, and Carheil properties has been highly effective. We are eagerly anticipating the pending results for our remaining six properties: Sandy Lake, River, Preston, 31 Mile, Notre Dame, and Kiamika."
In addition, the first ground program in Ontario has commenced. The program will begin on Little-Bryan to follow up on the several kilometres of potential graphite mineralization from known graphitic trenches, and a second near-surface conductive trend lying approximately one kilometre to the north (see news release of February 21, 2012). The initial program will consist of prospecting, geological mapping, and sampling along the conductors to prioritize the optimum areas for trenching and a follow up Phase 1 drill program.
Antoine Fournier, P.Geo., manages Standard's exploration and development programs and is the Qualified Person as defined by National Instrument 43-101. He supervised the preparation of the technical information in this release.
