Join Woodland Smokehouse This Earth Day for Culinary Adventures With No Carbon Footprint!

Woodland Smokehouse and Commissary Kitchen on 485 Commercial Drive is just that kind of place.
Stop by this Earth Day (Sunday) for an open house between noon and 3pm. It's a celebration of the environment and the Slow Food initiative.
Woodland is hosting several food making events that will tempt that artisan in you! Workshops on Sunday include making cheese with artisan cheese maker David Rotsztain and honey created with the help of Brian Campbell from The Blessed Bee.
Woodland's very own Chef, Anatoli Belov, will also be giving a talk on the smoking process which infuses all of their meats with incredible flavour. You may even get a sample! The meats and fish used in all of their smoked products are organic and locally farmed and caught.
The commissary kitchen and market prides itself on sourcing ingredients from BC suppliers when possible. This practice cuts down on the carbon footprint for the overall production of the products available from the businesses front of house market.
