Seattle's Chief Technology Officer Bill Schrier Joins e.Republic's Center for Digital Government

Named one of Government Technology magazine's of Information Technology in 2008, Schrier has worked for the City of Seattle for nearly 30 years. During his tenure, Seattle has set national standards for accessing information online and increasing access to government data.
A veteran in information technology, Schrier is excited about his new role with the Center. "I am most proud of the rock-solid information technology systems and networks that employees of the Department of Information Technology provide to the 11,000 other employees of the City, and to Seattle's citizens," he said. "I hope to bring that same level of expertise, innovation and determination in my new role as Deputy Director of the Center for Digital Government."
As Deputy Director, Schrier is responsible for running the Digital Communities program, acting as Editor-At-Large for e.Republic's publications and helping with overall content development and strategic direction for the Center for Digital Government.
With Schrier's arrival at e.Republic, will become Executive Director of the Center for Digital Government. In his new role, Sander will oversee the strategic direction of state and local programs ensuring they meet the needs of both public- and private-sector Center members. He will also lead and convene the Digital States Performance Institute (DSPI).
, the former Executive Director of the Center for Digital Government, has been promoted to Executive Vice President of e.Republic. In her new role, Robinett is responsible for e.Republic's media platforms and programs in government technology, emergency management and education.
The Center for Digital Government is a national on information technology policies and best practices in state and local government.
