Optimizer tests Texta in Asia, confirms it can reduce cost of B2B SMS by
50%

April 15th, 2012, Auckland, New Zealand: Earlier in April, Optimizer
International Group ('Optimizer', 'Company') tested its B2B SMS marketing
platform Texta for its suitability in the Asian market. The Company today
confirmed successful tests in Singapore and Hong Kong revealed that Texta
could reduce the cost of B2B SMS by at least 50% in those markets.

With mobile device penetration rates at an all time high in advanced Asian
markets such as Hong Kong and Singapore, the cost of B2B SMS still remains
quite high with very little offered by local providers in terms of web
apps, two-way messaging capabilities and SMS automation.

Furthermore, while sending one-way bulk SMS is very simple and straight
forward, receiving replies back into the 'system' and being able to use
that incoming response has been a long standing problem for businesses
using SMS as a marketing medium.

In a short statement released today, Jaron Turnbull, CTO of Optimizer said,
'Typically SMS marketing service providers (SMSPs) have used legacy desktop
apps, GSM modems and sim-boxes to send bulk SMS. For instance, in
Singapore, we discovered that a number of SMS marketing providers are
selling GSM devices direct to businesses expecting them to figure out how
to use it with a bespoke desktop app for sending bulk SMS.'

'SMS is one technology that is not going away anytime soon. You can install
any instant messaging app on any mobile phone, but you can't turn off the
SMS capability of a mobile device completely. Hence, the power to

communicate with your target audience using SMS continues to be a great
marketing medium. More so, every time your mobile device beeps, you
instinctively reach for it thereby reading the SMS. Such is the power of
instant gratification that as many as 96.8% of SMS are read within 20
minutes of them being sent. So its now time to take our sophisticated and
scalable SMS technology to the asian market and give the power of SMS back
into the hands of SMEs and greatly reduce the overall cost of SMS at the
same time', said Manas Kumar, CEO of Optimizer.

'We are currently working with a number of partners in both Hong Kong and
Singapore markets with an aim of launching the Hong Kong service mid-May,
2012 with Singapore following closely thereafter', continued Kumar.

This is great news for businesses in Hong Kong and Singapore, especially
when there are significant cost savings promised by Optimizer's SMS
marketing solution.
