Practices and Regulations in the Industry Are Changing: Is Your Business Ready?

(firmenpresse) - PITTSBURGH, PA -- (Marketwire) -- 04/24/12 -- Infocast's much-anticipated returns for its second edition at the Pittsburgh Marriott City Center in Pittsburgh, PA on May 22-23, 2012. The information-packed business intelligence event will feature leading experts from the oil and gas industry and key regulators, who will give practical advice and tools to address mounting concerns faced by the industry.

Over the last few years, drilling companies engaged in hydraulic fracturing have been unfairly targeted on a number of fronts. Recently, the EPA issued rules to control air emissions from hydraulic fracturing. Although enforcement of the rule will be delayed until 2015, the oil and gas industry needs to prepare for that eventuality. Between now and Jan. 1, 2015, natural gas operators will be required to flare their gas emissions or use "green completion" technology to stop gas from escaping from the wells. By 2015, companies can only use green completions technology.

Amidst a highly charged and rapidly evolving environment, having the most up-to-date and accurate regulatory and environmental information is critical. Hence, will provide in-depth coaching on problem forecasting, risks assessment and mitigation, and provide legal foundational support for sound corporate policy and strategic decision-making through a faculty of industry experts, senior environmental specialists and in-house counsel.

The event includes a diverse roster of senior representatives from industry-leading companies such as and among many others. In addition, David J. Porter, Commissioner, will deliver a Keynote Address, "Assessing and Planning for Potential Environment Risk."
