(TSX: FTS) will hold its Annual Meeting of Shareholders on Friday, May 4, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. (Newfoundland Daylight Time), 9:00 a.m. (EDT), at the Delta St. John's Hotel and Conference Centre, 120 New Gower Street, St. John's, NL.

The presentation that will be given during the meeting will be webcast on the Fortis Inc. website at .

Mr. H. Stanley Marshall, President and Chief Executive Officer, Fortis Inc., will review the important events of the past year. Mr. Barry V. Perry, Vice President Finance and Chief Financial Officer, Fortis Inc., will review the financial performance of the Corporation in 2011 and provide an overview of results for the first quarter 2012.
