UNESCO IHE Hosts Symposium With International Ultraviolet Association & IUVA Exhibits Technology at AccaDueO in Italy
(firmenpresse) - HERFORD, GERMANY -- (Marketwire) -- 05/03/12 -- The (IUVA) is actively exhibiting and discussing Ultraviolet (UV) Technology in Europe this spring. UV Technology disinfects water supplies and impacts the health and quality of life of individuals living in small and large communities. The IUVA EMEA Hub office, headed by Dr. Andreas Kolch, will be exhibiting UV Technology at AccaDueO in Ferrara, Italy on May 23, 2012. Dr. Kolch will lead a seminar on worldwide UV regulations and approval procedures. On June 7, 2012, IUVA will team up with UNESCO IHE to present a one-day symposium in Delft, The Netherlands about "" at the Delft UNESCO IHE facility.
"The demand for decentralized water treatment is growing at a rapid pace," said Dr. Andreas Kolch, IUVA EMEA Hub Director. "The growth rate is linked closely with emerging and developing country market needs for solutions other than the Western Hemisphere's centralized infrastructure model," added Kolch. Since UV water disinfection technology can be efficiently deployed on a smaller scale, its application appeals to leaders in the water and wastewater treatment industry in emerging countries. IUVA and UNESCO IHE will donate one-third of the registration fees received for the symposium for a UNESCO water project.
