Optimum Group Shows Good Results for 2011
(firmenpresse) - MONTREAL, QUEBEC -- (Marketwire) -- 05/04/12 -- Monday, April 30 during its annual shareholders meeting, Optimum Group Executives announced the company results for 2011. The Group has produced a return on equity of 12.6%, ''an excellent performance in the current financial environment" stated Mr. Jean-Claude Page, President and Chief Operating Officer at Optimum Group Inc. Its revenues have increased by 6%, which is lower than last year by reason of the economic turmoil in Europe. ''Our organization applies sound management principles and corporate values that have been supporting our stable growth and financial strength for 43 years." added Mr. Page. ''Moreover, the expertise and commitment of our team are key factors in achieving such good results year after year." he concluded.
During this meeting, the shareholders have re-elected the present board of directors and have nominated an additional member, Mr. Yvon Fontaine, attorney at law and rector of the Universite de Moncton.
The financial group has also presented the Optimum Enterprise Award 2011 to Optimum Re Insurance Company located in Texas, which is active in the life reinsurance industry mainly in the U.S. Each year since 1992, the holding company honours one subsidiary that performs exceptionally well according to specific return objectives. The winner has reached a growth of 13% on gross premiums in 2011, thus confirming an average annual growth of 17% over the last 5 years, and has substantially increased its profitability in 2010 and 2011.
Upper Management has emphasized the remarkable development of Optimum Asset Management Inc., the subsidiary responsible for institutional and private management at Optimum. The subsidiary has now reached over $5 billion of assets under management, and has grown substantially since 2009.
