Stockholm, Sweden and Sviaz-Expocomm 2012, Moscow - 14 May 2012 - Transmode, a
global supplier of packet-optical networking solutions, today announced that the
regional government of Khabarovsk, Russia, has deployed a data center
interconnection solution based on Transmode's TM-Series Intelligent WDM
(iWDM(TM)) optical platform.

The deployment will provide e-government services for the businesses and 1.4
million population of the Khabarovsk region, region which is in the far east of
Russia. Khabarosk regional government needed to maximise the capacity of the
interconnection between its data centres and chose to work with LANIT-PARTNER.
Together with LANIT-PARTNER, the network planners for Khabarovsk region chose
Transmode as the optical networking provider to ensure maximum capacity for the
administrative centre for Russia's Far East Province.

The deployment of Transmode's optical networking systems will allow the regional
government the flexibility and the scalability it needs to build extra capacity
as required. Initially it will provide 10Gigabit Ethernet and Fibre Channel
services for both the back-up and main data centres. The decision to deploy the
Transmode solution was based on the vendor meeting the ultra-low latency targets
demanded for the project.

"This new network will greatly increase our ability to deliver high quality e-
government services to broad user base," said Igor Pavlichenko, Head of
Department in Committee for Information Technologies and Telecommunications at
the Khabarovsk regional government. "The combination of superior technology from
Transmode and local expertise from LANIT-PARTNER had provided us with the ideal
platform for today's and tomorrow's needs".

The new network was jointly designed between Transmode and LANIT-PARTNER to meet
the long-term needs of the regional government. The iWDM equipment installed

includes rack mounted units with a very low footprint (6RU) and sub 20ns latency
to ensure the Khabarovsk government can deliver high-speed capacity for its e-
government initiatives. This provides a resilient and secure network with open
standards to meet all of the regional government's requirements.

"While implementing this project we faced tough requirements for building this
high capacity network with ultra low latency, which was also future-proof to our
customer's demands in system scalability and flexibility," said Vladimir Rimer,
General Director of LANIT-PARTNER. "We chose Transmode's optical platform for
this system as it is state-of-the-art, complies to all modern standards and is
able to comply to the most complicated technical requirements of our customer.
We were able to link these data centres with a fibre-optic network that is
scalable and we have minimised the rack space using a compact node for the
amount of capacity it offers."

Björn Andersson Transmode's VP Sales, added, "We are very pleased to be working
with LANIT-PARTNER to have deployed an optical interconnection for the regional
government of Khabarovsk. This has been a true partnership to meet the demanding
standards of our most easterly customer. We look forward to providing on-going
training and support to this new customer."
