LetsBuyIt AG: LetsBuyIt.com implements interactive product pages
- LetsBuyIt.com as a modern form of teleshopping
- App in planning stage
Zurich, May 15, 2012. LetsBuyIt Group AG, parent company of the website
LetsBuyIt.com, and operating a fully automated online price comparison
portal with Social Shopping Services, is utilizing proven sales concepts.
LetsBuyIt.com describes their interactive product pages, which will be
available in the future as an app, as a unique selling proposition, thus
differentiating them from competition.
Interactive product pages
The proven concept of teleshopping sells products in five steps:
1. Product presentation,
2. Product information,
3. Price development,
4. Product demonstration,
5. Assessment.
By utilizing this strategy, the teleshopping industry generated
approximately 1.5 billion Euros in sales in 2011 with potential for future
growth. As far as tactics are concerned, LetsBuyIt.com adopts this procedure
and offers their users significantly more content than other price
comparison websites, which are limiting themselves to the listing of various
items.
Upon selecting an item from the result list, LetsBuyIt.com's product
presentation takes place by means of a large image (1.) in conjunction with
a comprehensive description (2.) and additionally, the information as to the
corresponding stores and outlets. The price development is graphically
displayed on the same page (3.). It is possible to see a product
demonstration as to the usage of the corresponding item via the embedded
video (4.). Each item may be commented on and assessed on its product
description page, visible for all users (5.). While the interaction during
teleshopping is limited to a few phone calls, which are only made by a low
number of consumers, LetsBuyIt.com offers a platform for everyone interested
to leave comments, upload videos, or get directly involved in the
discussions.
'Due to the interactivity of LetsBuyIt.com, the user has the chance to
obtain subjective impressions and feedback to a product and to directly
scrutinize them as well. Thus, the customer may rely on the correctness of
these statements and utilize them to the fullest in the decision-making
process', said Izzet Guney, chairman of the board of LetsBuyIt Group AG.
App
According to a study from Deloitte, more than 45% of all online price
comparisons take place via cell phone. In order to serve this market segment
as well, LetsBuyIt.com is developing an app to enable the usage of all their
services via smartphone.
'Currently, we have completed approximately 30% of the development process.
The app's beta version will be finished in the coming months; the first test
phase is scheduled for September 2012. The launch shall take place by the
end of the year in Germany, England, and France. By the middle of 2013,
after the first startup phase, we will introduce the app in all other
countries', said Emmanuel Noirhomme, managing director of LetsBuyIt.com.
'The LetsBuyIt app will introduce additional possibilities for the reduction
of imbalances in information on the buyer's side for our users. Users will
not only be able to familiarize themselves at any time before a potential
new acquisition via LetsBuyIt.com and weigh all the pros and cons, but can
use the app directly on site, virtually while holding the product in their
hands. The app usage will again increase customer satisfaction
significantly. Hence, we are looking forward to an extremely positive year
of 2013', said Izzet Guney, chairman of the board of directors of LetsBuyIt
Group AG.
