Virginia City Transparently Enforces Email Management Standards and Use Policies for Simplified Retention, Disposition and Electronic Discovery

The City of Staunton is located in the Shenandoah Valley of western Virginia and is home to more than 23,000 residents. The city's Information Technology group is responsible for implementation and maintenance of city computing and telecommunications infrastructure, as well as training for all municipal employees and elected officials.
Staunton's IT group is also responsible for the establishment and enforcement of standards and use policies, and therefore needed to implement an email archiving solution to meet regulations put forth by the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA).
