International Developers From India, Japan, Sweden Vie for Health 2.0 World Cup
(firmenpresse) - SAN FRANCISCO, CA -- (Marketwire) -- 05/16/12 -- today announced that multidisciplinary teams of healthcare enthusiasts representing India, Japan, New York, and Boston will join winners from the upcoming on May 18-20 to compete in the inaugural Health 2.0 . They will square off against yet-to-be-determined winners of the in China, Netherlands, and several U.S. cities at the in San Francisco, October 7-10.
In addition to cash and prizes already received, the winner of the World Cup will receive a cash prize of $10,000, exposure to investors, and international recognition for themselves and their nation.
Winners from India, Japan, and Boston earned entry to the Developers World Cup by competing in Health 2.0 code-a-thons to develop concepts and working prototypes of solutions that improve quality of care in their home country.
Health 2.0 India Winners: Winners Team Stasis created an application that fast-tracks help for people who otherwise wait for days for medical attention when they have a bad fall.
Health 2.0 Japan Hack-a-Thon Winners: Team KM won for creating iPad checkup and management tools for artificial respirators.
Health 2.0 Boston Big Data Winners: The winning team developed the No Sleep Kills app that allows patients and clinicians to compare sleep-related car crashes with rates of sleep apnea and other related conditions.
