VHA Inc. Elects Five New Board Members
(firmenpresse) - IRVING, TX -- (Marketwire) -- 05/23/12 -- VHA Inc., the national health care network, has announced that it has elected five new board members and has appointed a current board member to fill a vacancy in 2013. VHA announced the board changes at its annual Leadership Conference meeting in Denver, Colo.
The five new board members elected to three-year terms include:
Howard Elliot, president, Elliot Management Group, Cincinnati, Ohio
David Pate, MD, president and CEO, St. Luke's Health System, Boise, Idaho
Judy Rich, RN, president and CEO, TMC Healthcare, Tucson, Ariz.
Russ Tyner, CEO, Baptist Health, Montgomery, Ala.
Dan Wolterman, president and CEO, Memorial Hermann Healthcare System, Houston, Texas
"Each of our new board members has been active in health care for many years and brings an enormous amount of industry leadership and experience to our Board," said Curt Nonomaque, president and CEO of VHA. "As we help guide our members to success, their contributions will be essential to our work to help health care organizations meet current and future challenges."
Having completed their board service, three current board members will depart:
Gary Duncan, president emeritus, foundation director and retired president and CEO, Freeman Health System, Joplin, Mo.
John Koster, MD, president and CEO, Providence Health and Services, Renton, Wash.
Al Stubblefield, CEO, Baptist Health Care Corp., Pensacola, Fla.
"Gary, John and Al have all made important contributions to VHA and we are appreciate of their service and dedication," said Nonomaque. "As integral members of the VHA Board of Directors, their efforts have contributed greatly to the growth and support of our member network."
In addition, the Board of Directors has appointed current member Gerald Miller, health care consultant, to fill a vacancy in the Class of 2013. He will serve on the board for an additional year.
