USGIF Gets Set for 8th Annual GEOINT Community Week
Defense, Intelligence, and Homeland Security Communities Convene June 4-8
(firmenpresse) - HERNDON, VA -- (Marketwire) -- 06/01/12 -- The United States Geospatial Intelligence Foundation (USGIF) will hold its 8th annual (GCW) June 4-8 in the Northern Virginia area. GCW brings together the defense, intelligence and homeland security geospatial-user community for a week of classified briefings, learning workshops, technology exhibits and networking opportunities.
GCW has something for everyone with an installment of the USGIF Workshop Series, a special edition of GEOINTeraction Tuesday, classified demos at NGA Campus East, the Ground Warfighter Geospatial Intelligence Conference (formerly AGIC), unclassified USGIF Technology Day exhibits and Community Networking Reception, the USGIF Invitational golf tournament to benefit the scholarship program, and finally, the GEOGala black-tie dinner.
"USGIF is dedicated to exchanging ideas, sharing best practices, and promoting the education and importance of national intelligence. And our annual GEOINT Community Week doesn't fall short of this expectation," said Jordan Fuhr, USGIF director of marketing and strategic communications. "GEOINT Community Week is an exciting time for us and a must attend event for the defense, intelligence and homeland security communities."
The week long event will kick off with Ms. Letitia Long, National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency Director, keynoting this year's workshop on "The Future of U.S. Commercial Remote Sensing." USGIF's free Technology Day, held Thursday, June 7, will showcase more than 60 exhibits displaying the latest in geospatial intelligence innovations. Exhibitors include Accenture, SAIC, BAE Systems, and the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA).
