Finn Beats Fellow Countryman In Bulgaria To Take Down EUR38,200 In Third EMOP Of Season IV

It was another success for Finland at the third stop of season IV with Tero Kalliomaki taking the EUR38,200 top prize at Crystal Crown Casino, Sunny Beach, Bulgaria.
The four-day EUR700 + EUR70 main event attracted 214 players, creating a total prize pool of EUR145,320, from which 27 players would reap cash rewards. The main event buy-in had been dropped 30 percent from EUR1,000 + EUR100 while the starting stack was increased 30 percent to 26,000 chips.
Finns Kalliomaki and Jarkko Pennonen made it to the last two of a final table dominated by Bulgarian players. The final hand saw Kalliomaki shove the button with 10c 10s and Pennonen make the call with Kh 9h. It wasn't to be for Pennonen as he stayed behind on a board which ran out 7s 6c 2s Ah 2d. The Finn took home EUR22,900 for his efforts.
