(firmenpresse) - VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA -- (Marketwire) -- 06/05/12 -- On Thursday, June 7th, BMO employees in Vancouver will participate in a clean-up of Stanley Park by removing invasive plant species from the park grounds.

Power To Be Adventure Therapy Society - the agency behind the clean-up of Stanley Park - combines the outdoors with activities intended to support youth and families, with the belief that the power of nature should be accessible to everyone.

The event will be part of the first North America-wide BMO Volunteer Day, with 6,500 employees across Canada and the U.S. rolling up their sleeves to give back.

"The Stanley Park clean-up is a great example of the wide range of projects in which BMO employees will be participating for Volunteer Day," said Joanne Gassman, Senior Vice-President, British Columbia and Yukon, BMO Bank of Montreal. "We're delighted to be a part of a project that will help to preserve and protect one of the many lovely spaces in Vancouver."
