NCPDP Announces Webinar on Processing Manufacturer Rebate Standards
Standards Improve Rebate Processing for Payers, Manufacturers, State and Government Programs

(firmenpresse) - SCOTTSDALE, AZ -- (Marketwire) -- 06/07/12 -- The , a not-for-profit pharmacy standards development organization, announced today its educational webinar on , which will take place Thursday, June 14, 2012 at 12:00 p.m. EDT. The webinar is intended for payers, pharmaceutical manufacturers, state and government programs, pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, pharmacy benefit managers (PBMs), and others with a role or interest in processing manufacturer rebates.
The accurate and efficient processing of manufacturer rebates, enabled by the NCPDP manufacturer rebate standards, reduces costs and disputes and simplifies coordination among manufacturers and payers. The webinar will provide a comprehensive overview of the types of data exchanged and track the flow of data between manufacturers and payers when utilizing NCPDP rebate standards for traditional pharmaceutical manufacturers, as well as for biologic manufacturers with physician administered drugs.
Speakers include Lesline Brothers, MBA, Manager, Strategic Contract Management, Johnson & Johnson Health Care Systems; and Robert S. Matsuk, RPh, MBA, Chief Strategy Officer, HighPoint Solutions, both of whom are members of NCPDP's Work Group 7 Manufacturer Rebates. NCPDP Work Group 7 leads the development and ongoing maintenance of data standards for rebate management between pharmaceutical manufacturers and payers.
Pharmacists and pharmacy technicians who register and attend the webinar may earn 1.0 hours of Continuing Education (CE) Credits from the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE). CE Credit is being provided by AmerisourceBergen.
