SecureLink Implements Zenprise Mobile Device Management and Security at Rotterdam Public Transport Company

Zenprise®, Inc., the leader in secure (MDM), today announced that the Rotterdam Public Transport Company (RET), working with SecureLink, a member, has selected ™ to ensure a secure environment for its expanding mobile operations.
With approximately 3000 employees, Rotterdam Public Transport carries over 600,000 passengers every day, or 185.7 million passengers per year. RET utilizes a range of smartphones and tablet devices including the iPad in its daily operations. These devices have been selected for their availability and capability to accept and interact with OV-Chip cards. It is expected that the new OV-Chip cards will replace all other public transport tickets in The Netherlands.
As RET migrates to the OV-Chip cards, the need for ensuring mobile device security is paramount. In order to select a MDM solution, RET sent a Request For Proposal (RFP) to a number of MDM companies, including several positioned in the Leaders Quadrant of the (1) from Gartner, Inc. After reviewing these offerings, RET ultimately selected the SecureLink/Zenprise solution. RET chose the Zenprise MobileManager based on the high degree of security, functionality and quality of the product.
