(firmenpresse) - NORCROSS, GA -- (Marketwire) -- 06/21/12 -- is sponsoring the 2nd Annual Alternative Fueled Vehicle Roadshow now underway in Georgia.

The Road Show kicked off in Atlanta on June 11 before moving on to Winder, Statesboro, St. Simon's Island, Braselton, Thomasville, Dublin and Norcross. The tour has now been extended with upcoming stops in Macon on Monday, June 25 and Savannah on Tuesday, June 26. The detailed schedule with times and locations can be found at .

"As a local manufacturer of electrical vehicle fast chargers, we understand that our support is important," stated Mario Santos, Efacec's Director of Business Development for Transportation, Electric Mobility. "This road show is a great opportunity for communities statewide to become involved, and for our citizens to learn about alternative fuels. Ultimately, we all will be able to make better-educated decisions that can change our future in the right direction."

Efacec is showcasing its QC50 DC electrical vehicle (EV) fast charger, made in Norcross. Depending on the EV, it can recharge a battery to 80 percent in just 26 minutes.

The Georgia Public Service Commission (PSC) organized the event to educate consumers and business leaders about helpful alternatives to traditional gasoline. Each stop features a display of cars and trucks powered by alternative fuels including electricity, compressed natural gas and propane.

PSC Chairman Tim Echols has said he hopes the event will raise awareness of alternative fuels, prompting a stronger infrastructure and more research.
