Lion Street Growth Increases Financial Services Footprint
(firmenpresse) - AUSTIN, TX -- (Marketwire) -- 06/27/12 -- Lion Street announced that six new firms have become Advisor-Owners in the second quarter of 2012, bringing the national network to 40 firms. These firms have been selected as market leaders, and they have shown strong commitment to building the company.
Lion Street was founded in 2010 by industry veteran Bob Carter and venture capital firm Austin Ventures. Ken DeAngelis, founding partner of Austin Ventures, joined the Lion Street Board of Directors in January. He comments, "Lion Street has been an excellent portfolio company for Austin Ventures. We believe in the model, the management team has executed flawlessly, and we value the concept of investing alongside advisors. We plan to be aggressive in pursuing opportunistic investments and acquisitions."
Lion Street is conducting a due diligence process to identify a Broker-Dealer that is positioned to deliver unique value to their national network of Advisor-Owners. Gladstone Associates, LLC, a business and transaction advisory firm exclusively focused on the financial services industry, has been retained to assist in the evaluation and search process. The result will be a "tri-brid" platform, integrating life insurance, securities, and asset management for the independent Advisor-Owners.
