Michael Gilbert Named CEO of Long Island Spy Museum Publishing and Spy Speaker Symposium

(firmenpresse) - STONY BROOK, NY -- (Marketwire) -- 07/02/12 -- Business leader Michael Gilbert has been named Chief Executive Officer of Long Island Spy Museum Publishing, a nonfiction imprint dedicated to the espionage genre. He is also taking the helm of the new Spy Speaker Symposium, a for-profit company that will work in conjunction with the Long Island Spy Museum but remain an independent private entity.
The is a non-profit, apolitical Museum dedicated to educating the public about spies and espionage and how they shaped American history.
Long Island Spy Museum Publishing is a for-profit joint venture between the Long Island Spy Museum, multimedia book publisher and , the world's only independent publication dedicated to espionage and intelligence.
Gilbert will oversee all of the day-to-day operations and leadership decisions regarding these two ventures.

As previously announced, Burke Liburt has been named Chief Executive Officer of the Long Island Spy Museum. He will be in charge of day-to-day operations including construction, marketing, development, educational programs, community outreach, government relations and all other leadership functions.
The non-profit Museum is supported by donations and grants. Both Long Island Spy Museum Publishing and the Spy Speaker Symposium will pay a yearly royalty fee to the Long Island Spy Museum.
