Holidays are a great time to try out something new and exciting and on they offer a number of different sports opportunities including fencing and archery.

Graham Bell, five times Olympic skier and eight times British Champion officially opened 'airspace' the new GBP 2.2 million indoor sports facility at in Ayrshire earlier this year. Graham, recently took up fencing and will be commentating on the sport during the London Olympics, he lost no time in changing into his gear and challenging eight year old Stephen Riley to a bout of fencing. 'I was lucky enough to try all sorts of activities as a child growing up in Scotland,' he said. 'My parents encouraged me to try as many sports as possible. 'Airspace' is a fantastic facility that will really make a difference for kids coming here on holiday. They will be able to have a go at a range of sports from climbing to fencing - as well as more usual activities such a football and basketball.'
Although some coached activities like football are included in the price of your holiday some do carry an extra charge. Best advice to pre-purchase some sports activity passes as you will save up to 25% but the average cost of a coached session is GBP 6 per person.
