GIEAG builds logistics centre in Lübeck
- GIEAG builds a leased logistics centre, in Lübeck, from scratch
- Fire protection specialist MINIMAX to take up occupancy
Munich, 03/07/12: GIEAG Gewerbe Immobilien Entwicklungs AG (www.gieag.de),
the publicly traded project developer for commercial real estate and
investor in residential real estate in Southern Germany, has built an 8,400
m²logistics centre on a 16,500 m²plot of land in the industrial area of
Lübeck-Roggenhorst. The land is very conveniently located in the immediate
vicinity of the A1 Hamburg-Puttgarden motorway.
Before building even begins the property has already been exclusively let
until at least September 2017 to MINIMAX GmbH Co.KG, whose head office is
in Bad Oldesloe. Handover to the tenant is planned for October of the
current calendar year.
Christoph Klotz, Chairman of GIEAG: 'We have gained a high-growth and
profitable first tenant with MINIMAX. The company, which is active
Europe-wide, is has been one of the leading companies in fire protection
for over 100 years. With an investment volume in the mid single-digit
million euro range, the project accounts for a further revenue growth of
our company. We want to invest a portion of the accruing funds into the
expansion of our stock portfolio for residential real estate.'
