LITTLE ROCK, AR -- July 10, 2012 -- Arkansas visitors on the go have a new tool to help them plan the best and most affordable vacation possible. The Arkansas Tourism Official Vacation app provides Arkansas visitors and residents with mobile access to a searchable database packed with lodging, restaurants, activities, attractions, coupons and deals, itineraries and more.

In an effort to develop the possible for Arkansas visitors, Arkansas Tourism has included a few useful features for travelers. "Near Me" displays a list of nearby attractions, lodging and dining based on the user's current location. "My Stuff" allows users to create trip itineraries and book travel deals from any computer and access them by mobile phone for later use.

The app maintains a similar appearance to the newly-launched Arkansas mobile website and has social media icons that connect to the Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and Pinterest channels.

Currently, only the app is only available to Apple iOS users (iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch) but an Android version is in production. The Arkansas Tourism Official Vacation app is available now for download in the Apple App Store -- just search for "Arkansas Tourism" or find it here: .
