In Germany alone, product and brand piracy has caused economic damage of €20 to 30 billion according to information provided by the Association of German Chambers of Commerce and Industry (DIHK). Therefore, it is becoming increasingly urgent for trade and industry to introduce innovative safeguard measures in order to protect their brand and product portfolio against counterfeiting and unjustified damage claims. The micro colour code technology has been counterfeit-proof for over 15 years. SECUTAG® unambiguously identifies products as originals and is accepted as evidence by courts.
With around 1,400 exhibitors and at least 35,000 visitors, FachPack is one of the most important European packaging shows. 3S Simons Security Systems GmbH will be showcasing its range of products at FachPack in Nuremberg, at the joint booth of the Institute for Distribution and Trade Logistics (IDH) (hall 4/4-515), 25 - 27 September 2012.
SECUDATA®: Combining logistics and counterfeit protection
The industry solution SECUDATA® combines the logistical advantages of traceability codes, such as RFID and data matrix, with counterfeit protection provided by the world's smallest micro colour codes. Both codes are conjointly applicable onto the product, its primary or secondary packaging, labels or closure seals. The traceability codes as well as the product can thus be identified as originals. Additionally, counterfeit-proof delivery and freight documents as well as other accompanying documents can be issued. Customised seals and hologram labels, control seals and closures are also manufactured and protected against counterfeiting with SECUDATA®. It is the ideal industry solution for adequate product protection in all fields of packaging and logistics. Moreover, it can be easily integrated into any production and supply chain.
SECUPACK®: Counterfeit-proof packaging from all domains
With SECUPACK®, 3S has developed an industry solution specifically designed for the packaging industry offering legally binding counterfeit protection for primary and secondary packaging from all industries. Folded boxes, blisters, tubes and cans made of different materials are secured with SECUPACK® allowing them to be unambiguously identified as originals. The colour codes are applied onto the materials by different printing methods, directly added to the products or applied by means of a dispenser. Complex changes to the manufacturing process are not required when applying the codes by means of a dispenser. Their application can easily be integrated into the packaging process, for example into blister packaging lines. By combining the industry solution and traceability features it is also possible to retrace packaging and products along the entire production and supply chain. Manufacturers, wholesalers and retailers can thus trace every step of their product - from production to sales.
SECUDOC®: Legally binding documentation
The industry solution SECUDOC® by 3S enables forgery-proof documentation of entire distribution channels. Transport documents, such as delivery notes, shipping documents and papers for customs or other authorities are unambiguously identifiable as originals and can be attributed to a distinct delivery. Certificates, reports and security papers, contracts, plans, signatures and business letters as well as credit cards and ID cards can also be protected against forgery through the use of SECUDOC®. The colour code is admixed to the transfer medium clear lacquer and can be easily printed or applied manually to the surface of the documents to be secured. SECUDOC® thus contributes its share to the prevention of document forgery and abuse.
SECUPRODUCT®: Immediate protection against product piracy
With SECUPRODUCT®, 3S has developed a technology which ensures immediate protection of all kinds of products across all industries. From amplifiers to zips, SECUPRODUCT® enables the direct and legally binding labelling of originals. SECUPRODUCT® is meticulously and precisely applied onto nearly all solid matters, among which metals, synthetics, paper products, glass, alloys and textile fabrics. The consistency of the micro colour codes enables easy implementation into any production process without complex changes being necessary. For smaller productions or single pieces, the application can occur manually; for large serial productions, the colour codes are integrated fully automatically into the existing manufacturing process.
