ESCO Welding End Prep Tool Performs Complex Preps on Large Pipe
(firmenpresse) - HOLLISTON, MA -- (Marketwire) -- 07/17/12 -- is introducing a new I.D. clamping welding end prep tool for highly alloyed pipe up to 36" O.D. (914.4mm) that compensates for out of round conditions and can perform complex end preps.
The is designed for use on pipe from 8-5/8" I.D. to 36" O.D. (219mm to 914.4mm), rigidly clamps to the I.D., and has a tracker to compensate for out of roundness. Capable of producing symmetrical end preps of any angle, including "j" preps, this can bevel, face, and bore simultaneously on all types of hard alloys including SuperDuplex and pulls a thick chip without cutting fluids.
Available with a 5 HP pneumatic or hydraulic motor, the Terminator MILLHOG® Welding End Prep Tool has only 8 sets of clamps and 2 wedges for the entire tool range, is quick to set-up, and requires no special operator training. Providing torque-free operation, it uses with chip breakers that direct heat away from the pipe surface.
