The first half of 2012 was marked by a number of successes. Most notably was Quorum's over 75 percent quarter-over-quarter growth in the second quarter of 2012 (as compared with the first quarter), making it the largest quarter ever by a significant margin. Spurring this growth in part is sales of the new , which the company announced in March, and which builds on the original pure appliance version, cloning servers onto an in-house appliance as well as a private cloud. This solution maintains the company's hallmark one-click, instant recovery of data, applications and systems, and on-demand, automatic testing. It is also simple, easy-to-use and cost-effective, making it the preferred choice of small to mid-sized businesses, for which even a few minutes of downtime can have a critical impact.
The addition of a new vice president of engineering also contributed to Quorum's growth so far this year. joined Quorum's executive team in May, bringing with him nearly 30 years of experience. Bagby's background in technology innovation and bringing new products to market bolsters Quorum's efforts in ongoing product development.
The first half of 2012 has been rich with award recognition. In April, Quorum was selected as a THINKstrategies Cloud Computing Business Value Award winner.
