Festival Kompa Zouk Launches July 25th
(firmenpresse) - TORONTO, ONTARIO -- (Marketwire) -- 07/25/12 -- The French Creole Festival, Festival Kompa Zouk, celebrating its third year, will launch on Wednesday, July 25th at a special launch event at the Westin Harbour Castle hotel, kicking off a week of events designed to celebrate the Creole culture with art, films, music and cuisine.

Details of all events are provided on the FKZO website at . This year, the festival has included a number of informative sessions to provide more information about the Creole culture. The well-known Guadeloupian Benzo, poet and writer is just one of the many interesting events. The film nights will feature films on Toussaint L'Ouverture, the great Haitian leader and the films of great Creole filmmakers.
The Festival day which is a day of fun and entertainment for the entire family will give visitors a real taste of Kompa and Zouk music by well-known bands from Guadeloupe, Haiti, Mauritius, Dominica. No festival is complete without refreshments. Enjoy Creole cuisine, West Indian and African fare at the festival, arts and crafts and exquisite handmade jewellery.
