CARPEVIGO successfully launches solar projects in the USA

Solar projects in California on a scale of 17 megawatts
Project pipeline of around 30 megawatts by the end of the year
Holzkirchen, 25.07.2012 - CARPEVIGO Holding AG, a developer of photovoltaic
systems and power plants, has placed a portfolio of solar projects in
California (USA) through its share in the company EarthShift Energy, LLC.
The projects have a total volume of 17 megawatts (MW) with a value of more
than 65 million US dollars.
'The new projects in California show that we are well positioned in the
growth market USA and that we can, and will, continue to profit from this
market in future,' as Jens F. Neureuther, CEO of CARPEVIGO Holding AG,
expressed his satisfaction about the new developments. 'We want to further
expand our involvement outside Germany and resolutely pursue the CARPEVIGO
Group strategy of internationalization. We see ourselves as being on the
right path in these endeavors,' Neureuther added.
In the construction of the freestanding plant installations, only proven
technologies are being used that are also deployed by CARPEVIGO in Europe.
The project development has been carried out in collaboration with one of
the leading North American solar project planners. Moreover, long-term
purchase agreements, so-called Power Purchase Agreements (PPA), already
exist with Californian energy suppliers for the electricity produced.
Altogether, CARPEVIGO plans to develop and implement further solar power
plants in the USA during 2012 with a volume of more than 30 MW.
