KARE 11's Sunrise and the Olympics: We're off to the Pub to Share a Pre-Opening Ceremonies Celebration
(firmenpresse) - GOLDEN VALLEY, MN -- (Marketwire) -- 07/26/12 -- On Friday, July 27, 2012 while the eyes of the world prepare to turn their attention to London, KARE 11 kicks off the 2012 Games first on KARE 11 Sunrise.
From 5 to 7 a.m., the newscast will be live from Brit's pub in downtown Minneapolis for our pre-opening ceremony festivities, live audience and all. We'll share everything from who to watch, to where to watch them. Plus, we'll have an inside look at the latest British fashion, the "must-know" British sayings ...everything to make you feel at home for this all-out British experience. And it's game on as local celebrities including former Olympians J Robinson, Brandon Paulson, and Dennis Koslowski go for gold in our own lawn bowling competition while Minneapolis Mayor Rybak will also be on hand, getting in the spirit of the Games. KARE 11's social sharing will also heat up during Sunrise as, straight from London, Sports Director Eric Perkins answers question on Facebook and we'll be sharing the fun live on Twitter. No party would be complete without photos: our live audience will be able to dress up, British style, to have their picture taken at the KARE 11 Photo Booth. Also suitable for social sharing.
